Take note, Ladie and Gent. Wine and beer have some new competition when it comes to cheese pairing, as whisky and food pairing is quickly becoming a hot trend for 2019.
First, let me be honest and declare that I am personally not a big fan of food and alcohol pairing. Even if I know that there are essential rules of flavor that hold true across the world, I find the process ridiculously pretentious most of the time. Eating and drinking should be all about pleasure and certainly not about following rules. That said, whisky and cheese are probably two of my favorite things ever and the idea of combining them gives me the same amount of excitation as learning that Friends will finally stay on Netflix for another year.
